Went to Salt n Pepper in Islamabad for dinner and was very impressed. The food here is great! I ordered the Pakistani VIP deal and thoroughly enjoyed it.The prices are very moderate and the quality of food is excellent.

The best value for money anywhere in Islamabad.

Their double trouble beef burgers are the best! I visited them late night on a Thursday and had a pleasant and peaceful dinner with friends. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone craving for high-quality burgers in a nice and relaxed setting.

Dr Shahid Malik is amongst the leading cardiothoracic surgeons in Lahore. He is a very caring surgeon and is gentle with his patients. The best thing is that he performs all the steps of surgery himself instead of relying on medical officers or junior doctors. He also is very particular about following up on his patients.

The Cardiology department at Ittefaq Hospital is the best in Lahore - in particular, their Cardiac ICU. The staff and nurses are highly trained and very sympathetic to the patients. For cases of open heart surgery (also called CABG), they usually keep the patient in the hospital for 5 days after the surgery. The patient stays in the ICU for 2-3 days after the surgery, and is shifted to the hospital room after that.

In the presence of such high-quality establishments and doctors in Pakistan, I don't see why anyone would need to go abroad for receiving cardiac care or having heart surgery done.

Pizza hut has lost its touch. This outlet is on the second floor in Salaar Plaza in barkat market. The place is clean and well maintained however the quality of the pizza is just not the same anymore. I went there during their 2 large pizzas for the price of one, and the pizza just wasn't the same.

I visited Gun Smoke recently and wasn't too impressed with the exterior. It has a bright red neon sign on top, but other than that the exterior is quite dimly lit and the external structure looks pretty rundown. However, on the inside its decorated well with a decor trying to match the old west. The floor is intentionally littered with peanut shells which is their way of mimicing the wild west saloon look.

The waiters walk around dressed as cowboys with cowboy hats and all. I had their Grilled Mushroom Burger which was quite good. The GunSmoke Gourmet Cheese Burger is actually quite good too, and the serving size is very filling.

The prices are however towards the higher side with burgers going for Rs.500 and their steak meals ranging from Rs.800 to Rs.1000. There frozen margaritas are very refreshing but Rs.200 for a margarita gets quite heavy on the wallet!
