The story of Gulzari Optics is the story of best optical services in Islamabad. It has many stars to its collar when it comes to pioneer ship. It is the first ever optical shop in Pakistan that adopted Quality Standards and pursued ISO-9001. It deals with the wide range of ocular products including branded frames and the latest optical devices available in Pakistan to ensure customer satisfaction. Gulzari Optics has grown to two branches in Islamabad., Khalid Sohail Gulzari, CEO Gulzari Optics is a business graduate having an experience of 20years in this field, continuously seeking to adopt a quality system and implementing new modes of technology in a quest of perfection.
Background
Gulzari Optics was established on August 15, 1988. It was set up by two brothers Babar Gulzari and Sohail Gulzari with one hundred thousand rupees investment. In 1994, Babar Gulzari left the shop and Khalid Sohail Gulzari became the sole owner of the shop. In the quest of learning he started to study business behaviors and the picture of Gulzari Optics altogether changed.
After taking advantage of different books and consultation programs, Khalid Sohail Gulzari was destined to bring innovations and create policies and “system” for customer focus.
From 1995 to Present
From 1995 to 2002 Gulzari Optics passed through different phases of success and failures. Customer’s feed back and uncountable transactional experiences helped GO to analyze the endeavors and their respective flaws. And fortunately the enlightened management of GO realized the need of the hour and instead of withdrawing from the facts, courageously took the bold step and initiated Kaizen approach i.e. continuous improvement.
The shop whose foundation was laid in G-9 expanded from 9’ x 21’ size to 17’x 21’ in 2002. In the same year shop started its wholesale section as well.
In 2005, shop started to work on ISO standards. And in order to fully understand the management and quality standards and system of ISO, Khalid Sohail Gulzari took admission in BBA (four years program).
In the same year, Gulzari Optics was introduced in media and a new branch was opened with the name of Gulzari Optics2 in F11 markaz with the partnership of his brother Nasir Gulzari.
In 2006, Gulzari Optics further expanded the G-9 shop upstairs and introduced Designer section.
